Photography became my method of expressing my creativity. To capture moments that represent parts of the world, a moment frozen and saved.

Capturing photos is what I always have gravitated towards. Taking photos as I walk around a new city, scenic tourist location, or just hanging out with friends. There’s something about candid photos, freezing a moment at a specific time and place.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from various places. Growing up, seeing images in history books, news articles, and tourist guides really inspired me. While I don’t do portraits, the candid portrait photos from historical events really inspire me. Some of those photos documented during monumental times, reserving a place in history with a human touch.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the prize money to do two things: a creative roadtrip to explore the beautiful areas of California and for a documentary style photo book that tells a story about immigrants from my parents generation.
