Art has the ability to make people happy. Bringing people joy with my art is what drives me and drives everything I create.

What I love to do is work in painting and graphic design, with a strong focal point on portraits of musicians. To me, music has always been a crucial part of my life — it's always connected to me and spoken to me in a way nothing else has, therefore I'm drawn to the idea of capturing the artists that make that sound and make me feel that. I want the sound and the work to reflect in the piece just as much as their likeness. I want my work to be felt and experienced.
Where do you find inspiration?I love to create art that is visually relatable. I often paint musicians and icons of the sort, to evoke that feeling of relatability.people find comfort in things they recognize and so do I making works that when seen have the ability to spark a memory or conversation. My art is inspired by music and one of the things I discuss most with people and often bond with people over is music. I want people to feel that same bonding experience as me.
What would you do with $25,000?I want to expand my creative practice. I find myself often feeling restricted in experimentation because of my finnacial situation. as well as I know alot of artists And I would love for them to have a space to go work when school isnt always an option or open for when we graduate., I have a space that needs work that I would love to fix up so it becomes a welcome space for artists to come and create.
