Art is my radical presence, a visual syntax that distills life’s chaos into light and captures the quiddity of a fading moment.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
"I find myself deeply moved by all forms of artistic expression; truly, it is difficult to favor one medium over another when each offers something so unique. While my own technical skills are currently limited to painting and drawing, I hold a profound admiration for the artistry found in literature, music, poetry, and sculpture."
Where do you find inspiration?I draw inspiration from a profound synthesis of cultural heritage and philosophical inquiry. My work is anchored in the bold narratives of Chicano art and the monumental legacy of Diego Rivera, yet it breathes with the expressive, swirling energy of Van Gogh. I find vital beauty in the intricate symbolism of Día de los Muertos, using its motifs to explore the soul. Ultimately, I translate the resonance of literature and poetry into a unique, visual syntax of light and form.
What would you do with $25,000?Not exactly sure ! I’d like to start maybe a PASA here in the C-Springs for individuals diagnosed with IDD this has been not only my career but passion for over 20 years ! Also I’d love a vacation with my family and if possible fix up my house !
