I create to feel alive, to escape structure, follow instinct, and build worlds where play, chaos, and emotion can exist freely.

I’m most drawn to creating mixed-media paintings that sit between control and chaos. I love working with oil, also pushing beyond it,layering materials, textures, and marks that feel instinctive. My work often blends figuration with abstraction, pulling in a sense of whimsy, distortion, and storytelling. I’m especially interested in pieces that feel slightly unhinged but still intentional, where characters, symbols, or forms emerge organically.Less about perfection more about capturing a feeling
Where do you find inspiration?Inspiration comes from tension btw my structured corporate life and the freedom I crave in my creative one. I’m drawn to things that feel a little off:childhood imagery, folk-like storytelling, and emotional color. Films, especially ones with strong visual worlds influence me, along with moments of play, memory, and discomfort. A lot of my ideas come from letting go of control, allowing accidents, textures, and subconscious thoughts to guide the work rather than forcing a clear outcome
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the money to invest in my transition into art, building out a dedicated studio space, sourcing materials without limitation, and giving myself the time to create consistently. It would allow me to take risks I can’t currently afford, scale my work, and develop a cohesive body of pieces for exhibition. More than anything, it would buy me the freedom to prioritize my artistic voice and fully commit to it without compromise.
