I create to bring light into darkness, building mixed media layers to reflect memory and experiences as foundations for themes of resilience
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My process is layered and intuitive, building surfaces through mixed media where texture and mark-making stack like fragments of memory. Inspired by nature, bold contrast, and the tension between strength and fragility, I let forms emerge rather than forcing them. Each piece carries movement and resilience, shaped as much by instinct and risk as by intention
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in nature’s untamed beauty and in strong characters shaped by hardship, carrying quiet stories of endurance. I’m drawn to balance—light and shadow, strength and softness, chaos and control—and how those tensions create something real. Above all, I’m driven by honesty and authenticity, creating from a place of resilience that feels lived-in rather than polished
What would you do with $25,000?I’d use it to upgrade my studio and materials, create a bold new website, and take a trip to Greece
