I love creating figurative, Afro futurism , and performative art. There’s something powerful about being present in the chaos. Movement, emotion, and energy come together in real time. I’m drawn to using then body and for, to tell stories that feel personal yet expansive, rooted in culture, memory, and imagination. My work allows me to explore identity, spirit, and transformation while inviting others into a space that feels both intimate and deeply human.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration through my lived experience, my ancestors, and most importantly through my community. My journey through pain and healing shapes how I create , pushing me to transmute my pain into purpose. I’m inspired by teaching, culture, movement, connection, music, and the stories we carry through nature , especially growth and cycles. Reminds me of rebirth. Every thing has a cycle, a rhythm, a life and a death. All of these become the vision I bring to life.
What would you do with $25,000?$25,000, would expand programing for Artistry in Voices: Rhythm of the Arts by producing immersive, multidisciplinary showcases that center movement, sound, and visual storytelling. this season highlights synesthetic performance between dancers, vocalists, musicians, poets, visual artists and textile artists.
