I create to honor the people who created me.Their names and faces lost to the world but not me. They live within me. I paint their spirits.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is oil paintings, ink on paper, and graphite drawings.
Where do you find inspiration?I find my inspiration through my everyday experiences, complex emotions, and strange dreams. I like my art to be an intertwined composition of my own inner world and the world I engage with on a daily basis. Perhaps my greatest inspiration is the duality of human existence; insatiably beautiful as well as cruelly unforgiving. The ornate blend of this vicious gorgeousness is my true inspiration; the human experience is my playground.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the $25,000 to deepen my artistic practice and expand my impact. I would fund new projects that push my technical and creative boundaries, and organize an exhibition in my hometown of Phoenix, a vibrant and evolving art community that shaped me. I would also travel to experience new cultures and perspectives that strengthen my work and storytelling.
