I create art to bring color, emotion, and light into the world, and to turn my feelings into something joyful and alive.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love creating mixed media pieces. I cut, collect, assemble, glue, and then work over the surface with paint, texture, paper, fabric, and found materials. I like when separate fragments start speaking to each other and become one coherent, emotional world.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration everywhere: in my dreams, in my memories, in colors, children’s drawings, old papers, fabric, the sea, light, music, and the little things around me. I am inspired by the real world, but I always want to transform it into something more poetic, tender, strange, and dreamy.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the $25,000 to support both my everyday life and my art. I would buy materials, improve my workspace, and buy a car, because yes, I currently do not have one. Having a car would make my life easier and would help me bring my art and creations to different places and opportunities.
