Creating art is the most natural thing I could do. I have a very intimate relationship with my emotions, and they talk to me through art.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!

Receive Text UpdatesPicking favorites goes against my beliefs that every comparison is unfair; that being said-- My inner energy knows in what ways it wants to meet the external world, it uses different pathways for different feelings... I improvise on the piano and I sing when I'm feeling bright and when I'm feeling blue; I dance my soul out of both fullfilment and emptiness. I write when I feel clarity as well as confusion; I draw and I paint when I'm bursting with creativity or when I'm searching for it...
Where do you find inspiration?I was born thirsty for comprehension; I'm naturally curious and very interested about what is right in front of me---Why am I experiencing this? What is this moment teaching me? What are the hidden meanings behind the feelings that have just been evoked here? I look around and I easily find things to wonder about---it's natural. My inspiration comes from the present moment and my desire for connecting with it. It's where my inner world meets the external world---and its collision is art.
What would you do with $25,000?Money is a tool, it helps you get your way through life, it brings comfort to a body and peace to a mind--it's safety (and we all know that feeling safe is in the base of self-actualization, transforming one's art into innovation). I'm purposeful in the way I move through space; therefore, I'd use $25K in supporting my new discoveries---I want to observe the world well enough to better learn how to participate in it while staying true to who I am, and I want to inspire others to do the same!
