I can’t not create. It’s in me and how I stay happy and alive. My want to make beautiful things that make me and people happy fuels my life.

I have so many types, murals, paint and sculpture. I’ve intertwined a multitude of mediums to encompass my love for flora with a bright Ava twist. In the last 10 years I began to teach myself how to use oils and now I use acrylics with bodifying enhancers to create texture and depth. I’ve begun to do installation of paintings, plants I propagate from abandoned plants given to me, fake plants I enhance with whimsy, and beautiful poop sculptures creating a fantasy feeling of real and imaginary.
Where do you find inspiration?Garden life, what I find beautiful in nature, bugs, plant veins, flower ombré and patterns, the weather, my surroundings as I walk around Los Angeles and echo park where I’m from and live. I find immense inspiration in my daily doings and experiences. An avid gardener and hairstylist for 20 plus years, my client interaction & stories inspire making magical flowers and patterns of feeling. All of what I do is based off of feelings and the colors that come to mind propel what’s next.
What would you do with $25,000?After having sepsis of the blood two years ago and 6 emergency room visits with two week long hospital stays I’ve accrued debt for the hospital bills and regular life supporting my son as a single mom. I am still on the quest of why I am having health issues still and I’ve been unable to work full time having an 8 year old son and health obstacles has limited my standing time and hours. I would love to say I’m going to use it to paint murals all over LA, but I would use it to pay my debt.
