Artwork of my ancestors, spiritual guiders, and healers. The warriors of my people are not ever talked about. Most people talk of the Chiefs. I choose to paint a lot of warriors. And these faces paint themselves. Through each face I feel a different ancestor. I get stories. I feel pain. I feel peace. I feel strength. And it is what I feel is my purpose in this life.
Where do you find inspiration?Through the rocks, the trees, creeks, and rivers. I find inspiration in all of the places my ancestors seeked wisdom and guidance. Through them is my greatest inspiration.
What would you do with $25,000?I would like to put down a nice down payment on a place where I can teach art on the reservation. Too much drugs and alcohol I want these kids to see the beauty and want to create it. It would be real nice to get adults out here to do the same.
