I create art to convey beauty, using color and texture to translate the raw energy of nature into something tangible and soul-stirring
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I specialize in vibrant, impressionistic landscapes using oil pastels. I love the medium’s tactile nature, which lets me layer rich, buttery colors to build physical texture. My goal is to capture the 'soul' and movement of a place, using bold strokes to transform natural scenery into a vivid, sensory experience.
Where do you find inspiration?I’m inspired by nature's ever-changing canvas of colors, especially during those “golden hour” moments when light transforms the world into something warm and magical. Whether it’s the glow of sunset on a peak or the reflection in a winding stream, I aim to bottle up that raw, peaceful energy. Each piece is an attempt to translate the awe I feel in the wilderness into a tangible, soul-stirring experience that others can feel, too.
What would you do with $25,000?Winning would be life-changing, allowing me to establish a professional studio filled with the natural light my work thrives on. I’d invest in top-tier archival materials and scale my pieces to a larger, more immersive format. My goal is to use this support to grow as a creator and inspire a deeper connection to nature within my community
