Since childhood, creating art has grounded me—transforming an overthinking, sensitive mind into clarity. It’s both expression and survival.

My favorite kind of art is the kind that expresses what words can’t—work that makes people feel, think, and connect. Painting and dance are my deepest loves, though I’m increasingly drawn to film as an extension of that language. At its most intimate, painting is my truest form—it feels like a direct visual extension of my mind.
Where do you find inspiration? My work reflects an internal psychological dialogue shaped by my experience as a woman—an awareness of being observer and observed, of constantly existing on display. I’m drawn to quiet, overlooked moments—a reflection in a puddle, light on skin—that feel deeply poetic. Moving between figuration and abstraction, I aim to slow perception and create space where vulnerability feels held, not exposed.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use $25,000 to deepen my practice in a way that feels both intentional and sustainable. A portion would go towards the rent of my studio and materials. I’d also develop a film project rooted in dance, translating my visual language through movement and the body. A portion would go toward documenting my work, allowing it to exist beyond the studio. Ultimately, it would create space to take risks and expand emotionally and materially.
