I love to create art because it feels like a direct channel to both the divine and subconscious mind, allowing me higher access to self.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love making neurographic art. There is a sense of excitement and curiosity that builds up as I go through my process. The excitement lives because I never know what's going to be born in the process. I have no pre-planned thought or image in mind when I begin to put lines on canvas. It's truly magic to make space for, and give room to whatever wants to come through me, to come forth.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in many things but my greatest inspiration is Mother Earth and the infinite beauty and wonder she contains. She is beauty in motion; enthralling and divine. Like her, I endeavor to give love endlessly through what I create, nurture curiosity in myself and others, and continue to cultivate a deep appreciation for beauty all around me.
What would you do with $25,000?With 25,000 my life would change drastically. I would use a portion of the funds to cover back rent and get current. With that taken care, I'd find a small plot of land in Puerto Rico that I could build on as I nurture and deepen the connection between my art practice and my ancestors, in the land they are from. In time, that land would become an oasis retreat where overwhelmed artists can come to replenish mind, body, and spirit.
