Artists inspiring artists inspiring artists, together we get creative. I incorporate learning with my artistic practice. My work is cyclical
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My art is about identity, perspective, and some subtle humor. My work is primarily painting and photography but I also create wearable art inspired by the same muse, my view. Aesthetically Obsessed, I am intentionally finding myself in beautiful and inspiring locations. With this I create.
Where do you find inspiration?Working with students and other artists allows for my perspectives as an artist to grow and expand while fusing traditional and contemporary. My muse is my environment, be it Maine, Taormina, Firenze, London, Vienna, my travels and the history behind the lands and waters I visit inspire me. Stories of the people I meet, be it servers in a cafe, a bartender or the neighbor on the tube, the patron admiring the same work by Egon Schiele, or the music at a concert, it all feeds my artistic process.
What would you do with $25,000?Right now, I would want to set up a temporary studio in Italy. I am inspired to do street art in Italy like JR, Banksy, Swoon in a medium that speaks to the past of Italy, making fresco paintings in places where time has taken a toll on beautiful architecture. I want to work in Italian communities, meet people, and share stories and make a difference in beautiful parts of Italy. With 25k I would also be able to not only make art but live la dolce vita, in the place I love the most, Italy.
