If I had a favorite kind of art to create, it would probably be story-rich visual art and language art, the kind that feels like opening a secret door. I love the idea of creating: • portraits with symbolism: faces surrounded by objects that whisper pieces of a life, like wilted roses, neon signs, old film reels, black cats, moonlit windows • poetry and lyrical writing: words that move like smoke and velvet • surreal scenes: dreamlike city nights, old Hollywood glamour, broken crowns,
Where do you find inspiration?Old Hollywood glamour, Chicano street style, noir lighting, vintage royalty, tattoos, candles, velvet, chrome, rain on pavement… all of that can become mood and texture. Songs can crack open whole worlds. Put on music that stirs something in you and let images come. A slow oldies track might become a portrait. A dark cinematic song might become a poem or scene. Art doesn’t always begin as a masterpiece. Sometimes it begins as a single image, a line, a mood, a wound, a memory.
