I am happy now creating paintings that give you something to think about, using images that come from thoughts and stories that exist within my imagination. I begin with a concept but have no idea of what the final image will be. I am the creator but the media takes me on a journey to a surprise ending. It is often I change directions while creating a painting. I also love to draw and combine that technique with the paint media, sometimes it has a touch of illustration.
Where do you find inspiration?My inspirations come from observations; things I see around me, things I hear, faces that have interesting characteristics, everything that I experience in a day or in a dream can be my next subject for a piece of art. I just want to alter it a bit so that I can interpret what is real with what I want to express. I love to talk to people, and I realize how different we all interpret things. I also love nature, it has every design and pattern that exhists, so I steal many ideas from it.
What would you do with $25,000?I would buy more art tools and materials and try to enhance my workspace. But I am lucky to have any source of a workspace. I can't change alot of things, but homeless people break my heart. They live in tents under bridges nearby, so I would love to bring pizzas to them once in a while. It's hard these days to know how far $25,000 can go, but I would use it wisely.
