I was born this way

My favorite kind of creation blends drawing, painting and photography into a single quest for emotion and truth. I like to first sketch fragments of moments in pencil, capture the light at the decisive instant with my camera, then return to the canvas to reinvent those moments through color and texture. Drawing offers me the simplicity of line, photography freezes the ephemeral, painting transcends the real: together they tell the same story — mine — where each image becomes a page of an intimat
Where do you find inspiration?I have an eye that shifts the gaze: I see things differently, I hunt down burning moments and seize them before they fade. It’s a knack, a gentle urgency — to catch the moment, transform it and let it speak.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use this prize as the raw material for an artistic life project — and as a safety net for my daughter's future. Rent a small, light-filled studio to paint and develop my prints, invest in a quality camera and lenses and durable materials, then set aside part for residencies or courses that will deepen my practice. Organize a small solo exhibition (printing, hanging, promotion) to give my work a voice and a market. Put away secure savings for my daughter's education.
