Oil painting and sculpture. I enjoy discovering a truly unique and creative composition each time I go into the studio. My passion is to discover the yet unseen and unstated. I often move from realism to abstract within a painting. Working from a specific point of reality then freeing up form to allow for the abstract action of the paint to reveal itself. I believe that all art is spiritual. It is art that manifests a personal truth obtained through an experience of searching for meaning.
Where do you find inspiration?Anywhere I find myself, especially in nature. My work represents my impressions of life and nature through a visual poetry. It is not a direct description of life but rather an alternative expression of reality. I am always amazed by what my compositions reveal about an alternative way to see and feel the word around me.
What would you do with $25,000?Pay to insure and ship my paintings to the New York Gallery Show and buy airfare to attend the opening, hotel and meals and other expenses.
