I see art less as creating something and more about releasing something. I want others to experience an extension of myself and my emotions

Receive Text UpdatesMy favorite type of art to create is realism and portraits. The human face can carry so much meaning and emotion, and sometimes the subtlety of an expression carries more weight, which I find fascinating. I feel I can only capture that through detailed realism. We were designed for real, human connection, and that is what I strive to emulate in my work.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration by looking at the old master’s paintings, where a person’s facial expression was a key tool in creating meaning. Artists used it to display someone’s passion, sadness, or spiritual state which was at the heart of these paintings. This inspires me to reflect that raw emotion in my work.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use this money to further invest into sharing my work to reach a wider audience. I would also use it to fund college so I can continue to grow and chase my dreams of being an artist.
