My art is my music & I love to create music because I have autism & music has been my therapy and I love to share the joy & hope it brings.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of music to create are songs related to my autism. I love to create music for people who struggle with the feeling of being different. I love making special songs that help others feel hopeful and understood. I also love playing unique and different instruments, especially the steel pan because it makes me happy to share the soothing sounds of the Caribbean for others to enjoy!
Where do you find inspiration?I find the inspiration for my songwriting from the experiences I have had growing up with autism. One of my goals through my music is to remind people to look past the disability so they can see the unique abilities that people with special needs have. When playing my steel pan, I choose songs that I feel will help people escape their thoughts and be carried away to another place, even if for a minute.
What would you do with $25,000?If I won $25, 000 I would purchase some music equipment so I could continue my music journey, share hope and joy through my music, help others escape through musical sounds, and continue inspiring others to focus on their unique abilities and not their disability or struggle!
