I love creating art as a way of immortalizing the dead and challenging myself and my creative process.I enjoy seeing what I can come up with
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite art to create is oddities and curiosities. Use a variety of different materials in my work including bones, skulls, crystals, metals, items found in nature such as moss varieties. I like using new and vintage items in my work. I incorporate resin into some of my works as well. I like to in a way breathe some life back into death using a variety of methods.
Where do you find inspiration?I find my inspiration mostly in nature, I'm not a big people person so my idea of going out is going for a hike into the wilderness to see what I can find and to take it all in. Some scenes I've come across have inspired certain pieces I've made. Part of it is the challenge as well. Usually it's easy for me to look at what I have and what I can get to create the next thing with, other times I get stuck on something, unsure of how to proceed or figuring out what's missing. I like the challenge.
What would you do with $25,000?I would put a good portion of it on debt so that I could breathe a bit easier but I would also invest in more materials and specimens to continue to create bigger and better pieces. I think a much needed road trip would be pretty great too, maybe get out to the mountains and refresh 🖤
