Drawing is my favorite art to create. I would say that my style uses a lot of symbolism and geometric symmetry. It’s something that has helps me to center myself. I started drawing seriously a little over a decade ago after I got out of the Marine Corps.
Where do you find inspiration?Everywhere. I find inspiration from many of the hot topics in the world. Some of my work is built around science and nature. Some of it is built around fun nonsense. Not everything has to have meaning. It just needs to evoke an emotional response. Pay forward some feelings. Sometimes you try to convey an idea through the use of a medium because the world doesn’t hear it when it comes from your mouth.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest it in one of my great ideas. Not sure which one. I have an idea for an art coalition that volunteers for the public to stimulate art sales. We would be providing a service to our community. It’s either that or an omelet food truck.
