I create because something eternal lives within me. It is the language my soul speaks. Every piece is an echo of the One who formed me.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Wood-burning feels alive, raw, and deeply connected to my soul. There’s something sacred about taking a simple piece of wood and transforming it with heat, patience and intention. Every burn stroke tells a story. The scent of the wood, the warmth of the tool, and the organic beauty of nature all feel grounding to me. It feels like purpose, healing, and worship that’s woven together by my own hands. I find it peaceful and powerful to create beauty through heat and ash.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration for my art in the quiet places of life. In God’s creation, in human emotion, in old stories, weathered wood, music, memories, and in moments where most people overlook. My inspiration comes from the beauty of nature, the depths of the soul, & the desire to turn feelings into something tangible. Sometimes from pain, from peace, always through the deep need to create something meaningful & alive.
What would you do with $25,000?If I won the $25,000 cash prize, I would invest it into growing my art and creative business, while creating more stability for my husband and me as we pursue our dreams together.
