I create to respond to the world around me. My works express what words cannot and spark conversations about our shared world experiences.

I love to paint because the physical act itself is as meaningful as the ideas behind it. Moving paint across a surface, building layers, and making intuitive marks allows me to transform familiar objects into something new. Through this process, I can uncover hidden narratives, challenge perception, and create space for deeper interpretation, where both the making and the meaning work together to tell a more complex story.
Where do you find inspiration?I love to challenge viewers to reconsider what objects mean. My work explores how items from advertising, fashion, and history carry layered narratives revealed through abstraction. Every object means something different to somebody. Reimagining through collage a still life painting, I break from tradition to uncover deeper, fragmented stories. By distorting form and flattening space, objects become more than shapes they act as symbols, characters, and moments within a broader visual language.
What would you do with $25,000?While I would love to open up my own community gallery right now I would prioritize both giving back and building stability. I’d donate a portion to charity and as an art teacher support my local school district’s art program to help provide creative opportunities for students. I would also use part of the funds to pay down my student loans, easing financial pressure, and set aside savings for the future, creating a balance between generosity, responsibility, and long-term security.
