Through art I honor Indigenous cultures, explore womanhood, and help disabled children find own their voice through creative expression.

My favorite kind of art is mixed-media visual work that uses bright, rich colors and heavy gilding. I’m drawn to layering materials and textures, and my pieces often explore themes connected to current global policies and social injustices.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the spaces where social taboo and cultural sensitivity create silence. My work speaks to the struggles of Indigenous people, women, especially mothers and unpaid laborers, immigrants, and disabled community members. I aim to give visual voice to their experiences by acknowledging, honoring, and celebrating their individual stories.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the money to continue providing a free, supportive space where at-risk individuals can find their voice through art. It would help restock essential supplies and fund local exhibitions to showcase community work. Through this, I hope to expand visibility, build confidence, and inspire others to create and uplift their communities.
