Art is an invitation. I like to build worlds and invite people in. From seeing my work, viewers are now invited to have a part of me.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Simply put, I favor painting and incorporating an interesting mix of media in my work. As far as a genre goes, I could never bind myself to a singular term or already existing movement, but within my work there is an intentional command of color. With color and composition, the idea of experience is evident. If you still want to keep it simple though, I like to paint people or subjects existing in and beyond existence.
Where do you find inspiration?I find information from the world, from my faith, what’s been made. I like to think of the why in everything, and combining that with everything previously mentioned and all the innovative ideas that simply pop in my mind, to get inspired for any and every creative endeavor that I happen upon.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I would finish school, earning my art degree, and focus on my practice so that it, in and of itself, can be whole and I can continue to do the work of artistic creation so the work of the Creator can shine in a new light as well.
