My practice is the vessel that connects me to my lost ancestral knowledge . The process is rooted in alchemy of personal grief and shame .
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My work directly challenges low vibrational feelings of sadness, shame and grief as vessels for alchemy and transformation to ultimately become positive outputs in life
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration from natural chaos and anxiety. By practicing my art, I am able to create a meditative state of peace and flow within myself.
What would you do with $25,000?I started a collective called Re.Stance, we are a group of Bipoc and queer artists who work across textile and fibre arts upcycling design, performance art and creative technology. We create immersive experiences that address issues in our supply chain and focus on equity and empowerment. I would use this fund to host more events for the Re.stance collective .
