I love drawing from observation, from memory, and from imagination. Sometimes my focus is a person or persons, sometimes objects, sometimes just playing with how marks on a page or canvas energize it and cause the surface to dissolve into depth and relief.
Where do you find inspiration?Family, friends, colleagues, strangers, celebrities… people from all walks of life. Stories I’ve read, dreams, vivid or elusive memories. The power of art to put all the other things in your life into perspective as you make it or experience it and find joy, comfort, a kindred spirit, a laugh, and respite from the hectic world to think about what life really means to you.
