Deep inside, all around, we perceive what there are no words for. Art creates a visual conversation, a shared perception. I can't be silent.

I love to paint! I research art history, technique and materials, a full on paint geek. I delight in creating archival fine works. My small, meticulously chosen palette is of excellent quality. Oil, Watercolor, egg tempera and colored pencil are my most used mediums. I work both from life, imagination and photo reference. I can't leave out photography! Capturing strong compositions and rare sights provide much fuel for my artistic drive.
Where do you find inspiration? There are so many moments, sights and feelings I have experienced that I want to communicate to others, deeper than words can say. It is the wholeness of a thing, a transient quality or way of seeing something that can be transmuted into an image. It can go on... a meme, creating its own conversation. From the art in caves, our most ancient relatives still speak to us. Here is my cave wall.
What would you do with $25,000?My husband is a bio regenerative farm designer and manager. Our family, including 5 children, have moved many times for his various contracts. Finally we have a home of our own. I have to make sure we keep it. 3/5 of the prize: pay mortgage, bills, food and dental care for our family. Sustaining our household is essential to my artistic career since I create art from home. 1/5 to growing my art business(reopen website, ect) 1/5 to repair a small building on our property for use as a studio.
