Because life is measured in moments and I have a unique eye to capturing the moments and bring them to life for the world to see.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Photography is my true calling, having the ability to capture a feeling, texture, single ray of light in one still image is amazing, a single image can tell an entire story, create a feeling within the viewer that sparks an intense emotion. cinematography is great but I find that allowing the viewer to see a photograph and makeup their own conclusion to the begging and end for that image it allows for more creative thought.
Where do you find inspiration?my personal favorite thing about photography it's ability for us to share how we each see the world. 2 people walking the same path together will see and photograph the world completely different and I am fascinated by that. while someone sees the overall landscape of that path, the other person can look deeper at the plants and tiny critters that makeup the big picture we see.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest in a telephoto lens and invest the money into a few trips so I can see more of the world and photograph in several places in the US such as exploring more of Northern California, Alaska, Yellowstone, and the Florida Everglades so I can witness each regions unique landscapes and wildlife.
