In my current body of work, drawing white charcoal on black paper has become more than a technique; it has become a meditation on contrast, resilience, and emergence. The act itself feels symbolic; light does not sit upon the surface, it is drawn out of the dark. By reversing the expected order, building light instead of shading into it, I am bringing light to the surface of darkness. The black paper does not simply function as background; it becomes the weight of the unknown.

My research into mycelium, human anatomy, as well as poetry, and psychology, allows me to continue to study and deepen my understanding of the ecological rhythms, symbolic patterns, and spiritual resonance that exist throughout the natural world.

I’d open up a local art gallery to allow artists work to be featured in our community. I’d invite universities and local community colleges, to have their students artwork be displayed as a way to show their artwork to the public for the first time. I just want the space to be a collective art gathering to spread more art into the world.
