Driven to be a versatile artist as I enjoy bridging the gap between tactile studio art and digital design to build ideas from the ground up.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I'm still discovering my signature style, as I'm driven to be a highly versatile artist. While I love exploring, my absolute favorites are the classics: pen, pencil, marker, and charcoal on paper. There is something timeless about that tactile connection which is why I enjoy balancing those raw, traditional sketches with the expansive tools of digital art. At the end of the day, my favorite type of art is whatever allows me to freely build and evolve my ideas.
Where do you find inspiration?A huge source of my inspiration comes from music and cinema. I love diving into different albums and analyzing the visual storytelling in films, which constantly exposes me to new moods and aesthetics. But my most grounding inspiration is still watching my parents draw on napkins when I was younger. It’s a constant reminder that creativity doesn't need a formal canvas, which pushes me to keep experimenting across different mediums.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the $25,000 to fully equip my hybrid art practice. Alleviating the weight of my student loans would give me the mental space to focus entirely on creating. Beyond that, I’d invest in the tools I need to thrive: funding my essential digital design subscriptions and building out my physical setup with printmaking and screenprinting gear. It would provide the exact resources I need to push my boundaries and bring my digital art into the physical world.
