Almost all my life, I had an insecurity of being misunderstood by people. I don’t wanna leave this world without being understood.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I like illustrations for their storytelling through panels, how they slice parts of the page, the shades of color you use between black and white, giving their environments life to help the reader emerge into the comic/ manga is visually pleasing. I strive to achieve such skill like that with my art, doesn’t have to be Picasso, but I want the viewer to be emerged in my illustrations as well.
Where do you find inspiration?I inspired by manga artists like Eiichiro Oda and Masashi Kishimoto. Oda for his environmental/narrative storytelling, little details that show how cultured an island is within the world or a clue hinted at chapters ago that gets paid off in recent chapters. And Masashi Kishimoto, who pays attention to the detail with body style/ structure. He he draws his fight scenes in his panels in ways that could be read/translated to real fight choreography and stage combat. I want to love my art like that
What would you do with $25,000?Its simple, invest in my art, and the trials and tribulations that come with maintaining that, I want to put it towards transportation to get to events that I need to go to when presenting my art. Invest in an e-commerce business so I can distribute my art to a large majority. Maybe buy a blue check on X or Instagram so my art can pop up on other peoples socials.
