I love to create art because art can be anything you want it to be, and if you really want it to, it can change the world.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is the art that gets people to think and feel something. I like creating art that conveys a story. A lot of times it can be abstract because then it's up to the viewer to convey the message. Other times I can be inspired by real world events
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in things I experience in everyday life. A lot of my most inspiring moments happened while I was homeless in Madison, WI. Those experiences led me to design my first concept for a mural for a shelter that depicts the life cycle of an oak tree as compares to the life of a human being and how just like an oak tree, which sprouts new life, that you can come back from your darkest moments too.
What would you do with $25,000?I've never had that much money, but I would love to use it to launch my business. I want to open an art studio and supply store with a mobile art venue. I would want to be accessible to even my low income community because even the dreamers who can't afford it should still have a chance to chase their dreams.
