I create art to connect with myself and with others. I teach it so students can express, reset, and discover their own artistic voice.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
It honestly depends on what I’m working with. The more time I spend with one medium, the more I love it in that moment. As of right now, watercolor and anything sculptural are definitely my favorite. I get lost in the art when working with these mediums and truly love what I create!
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in nature. A lot of my work revolves around animals and plants, the true beauty of this world. I love focusing on remembering the little things outside of our day to day lives such as the forgotten nature aspects.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the $25,000 to peruse my career goals. I am currently a middle school teacher who is actively a full time student in my masters program. My next goal is to get my PhD and inspire the next generation of artists and art teachers. I love teaching art and seeing how art touches people, and I’m excited to be able to share my experiences and passion to future art educators. With all that education, comes a lot of expenses, so I would be extremely grateful to get a little taken away.
