I love to create angelic beings using a mixture of gold leaf and oil paint. I’m trying to express hope and encouragement through these images so that others can find comfort, and maybe some courage to forge through the hard things of life. Creating art for me is all about painting a message of peace and the hope for a happy future we can all share. My favorite thing about creating art is that i am always surprised by where my painting takes me when I let the creative process breathe.. pure joy!

All of my inspiration comes through my faith. I love to read, I love being outside. I keep a beautiful wisteria garden and have water fountains and watch birds. I love to cook for my family and friends. I’m always watching the sky and love to see the seasons change. I’m at a super great place in my life at the moment, because i’m learning. My past cannot hold me down and i choose to take the sadness I’ve known and turn it into paintings of hope and renewal,always a horizon beyond each sunset.

Oh my, if that happened for me I would definitely invest the money back into art. I would stretch out creatively with the goal in mind of helping others to tap into their own gifts and talents. Everyone needs to know that they matter, that they are seen and heard and loved. A monetary award could be used in so many artist ways to reach the eyes of even one single soul in need of being reminded that they are loved.
