My work is a form of emotional and spiritual storytelling. Rooted in my Mexican and Caribbean identity, I blend symbolism, surrealism, and bold color to explore themes of rebirth, duality, and transformation. Each piece holds a moment of becoming—where raw inner experience is shaped into something seen, felt, and alive.
Where do you find inspiration?I draw inspiration from my lived experiences, my Mexican and Caribbean roots, and a deep connection to symbolism and spirituality. My work emerges from moments of transformation—where emotion, identity, and duality collide and begin to heal. It is a practice of turning darkness into color, of reshaping what once felt heavy into something alive, and giving form to what is unseen, yet deeply felt.
What would you do with $25,000?"I believe deeply in giving back to the arts community. I plan to use these funds to establish a scholarship for Latina art students at the university level. As a Latina artist myself, I remember being in spaces where such support would have been life-changing. I want to provide that bridge for others who are navigating the same challenges I faced during my education.
