I enjoy painting in oil, primarily landscapes that capture atmospheric conditions, time of day and any interesting light play that occurs whether it is natural light or man-made. The lighting conditions are always varied and help to narrate the story that I am attempting to tell.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration from nature, ancient cultures and indigenous cultures from around the world.
What would you do with $25,000?The prize money would allow me to continue to pursue my artistic career and fund a trip to paint and experience a foreign country or another culture/people that have long interested me. It would also allow me to purchase some of the necessary tools to create larger pieces and support my studio.
