I've always been drawn to surrealism due to the freedom it provides and the emphasis on dreams. Artists such as Salvador Dali, Rene Magritte, and Giorgio de Chirico were major influences when I began painting 35 years ago. Most recently I have been exploring wildlife painting after being inspired by artists such as Robert Bateman.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the natural world, the subconscious, music, literature, and the work of other artists.
What would you do with $25,000?If I won the $25,000 I would use it to maintain an art studio space, buy art supplies and possibly travel a bit.
