Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the stories that come up in my life as well as the artists around me that I’m able to collaborate with. My work is about a feeling of sublime and reverence for the ocean and what it provides to my community and culture. This feeling of a vastness so beyond myself it’s overwhelming, but a deep desire to grasp at it in spite of the impossibility.
What would you do with $25,000?I would open up my own studio space to be used and rented by other small artists.
