I consider myself a member of the Hudson River School of painters, as I live on the shore of the Hudson River, Troy, NY. Though an outsider.

I am a landscape, still life & figurative painter; working in oil, pastel & watercolor. Using a bright & bold pallet, I paint images from my head of the people I know, my garden, animals and views of the river from my home. I paint from my head, visionary or intuitive compilations in nature, with no planning. I begin by sitting before a blank page or canvas and act. Images seem to channel through me, from the universe, filtered through my own consciousness as a human being.
Where do you find inspiration?Aside from the beauty of my home environment, I draw inspiration from my travels, the people I know and care deeply for, those treated unfairly or sad or happy. Astrology fascinates me. APisces sun, Gemini Rising/moon, each mutable & creative signs. Therefore I am emotionally invested in the work I create. I surround myself with art & photographers for reference as I move through my process. I'd rather create than market, though sales are the goal. My paintings need to move on, like children.
What would you do with $25,000?Go to an ophthalmologist and get new glasses. Pay off debt, fix windows that have been neglected in my home and if anything is left, I would buy much needed art supplies or some new shoes. No one's gonna save the world with $25,000, but it sure could help somebody who is struggling financially to keep their head above water.
