To be honest, most of my 'studio time' lately has looked more like arts and crafts with my kids! Motherhood has definitely taken center stage, and while I’ve loved that season, I’m really feeling the pull to get back into the art that comes naturally to me. Photography has always been a favorite. But I do miss that balance of a rough pencil sketch and the precision of a finished painting, and I’m looking forward to carving out that creative space for myself again."
Where do you find inspiration?My inspiration usually starts with a visual spark… a specific play of light in a photo, a high-contrast color palette, or even just a mood I encounter during the day. I’m a Libra, so I’m naturally drawn to balance and things that are aesthetically pleasing. Whether I'm picking up a camera or a paintbrush, I’m usually trying to capture that one specific moment that felt 'right' to my eye.
What would you do with $25,000?If I had $25,000, I would invest it in building a mini art studio shed on our property. I’ve always dreamed of having a dedicated place to create—a small, aesthetically pleasing space where I can leave a half-finished painting or a stack of sketches exactly where they are. It wouldn’t just be a building; it would be a reclamation. It would be the place where I transition from "Mom" back to "Artist," proving that you can be both ❤️
