My favorite type of art, that’s a tough one. I enjoy creating art across many platforms, but personally I love to capture the beauty of nature through photography as well as acrylic painting. Art that tells a story and gives others feeling and experience.
Where do you find inspiration?A lot of my inspiration comes from my emotions. Whether I’m feeling happy, peaceful, free, nostalgic, or even a little lost sometimes, creating helps me express what I can’t always put into words. Art becomes a release for me, a way to let those feelings exist without needing to explain them. I’m also drawn to the small details—textures, patterns, and the energy of a place. Things like the roughness of tree bark, the softness of clouds, or the quiet feeling of a path in the woods.
What would you do with $25,000?If I were awarded the $25,000 I would invest into my creativity, and I would pour back into the community, which has always poured into me. I think every town deserves a space for creative folks to flourish and thrive. I would also travel to places that feed my soul such as, mountains, forests, national parks and the ocean. This always seems to deeply influence my work and helps to give myself a new perspective. Which we all need from time to time.
