Im going to say…Possibility! I see creating a possibility as art. Whether it’s a new perspective through a vision, thought or perhaps just a feeling- creating an opening for some kind of shift is the ultimate power of art. While I spend my days painting mixed media paintings, the paintings are simply documentation of countless hours of exploring possibilities and trusting the process to reveal the next step. This is freedom both in life and art- one and the same. What if anything is possible?
Where do you find inspiration?While inspiration is everywhere, for me it starts within. It begins with a breath, usually an exhale of me as a personality and an inhale of the infinite or everything I don’t understand. It’s a shift from my head to my heart. I allow what my heart wants to show me to be seen on the canvas. My reality shifts and everything is inspiring as it all connects and flows through me. Inspiration finds me, when I step out of the way and open the door in my heart.
What would you do with $25,000?Since I would see this money as a gift, I would feed it and help it grow. A couple years ago I was asked to fulfill a wish by the Make A Wish foundation and I realized how much I love to awaken the creative spirt in children and people of all ages. So, I started to teach classes in my studio. I would offer free PeoplesArtist classes or workshops, invite others to contribute, and go wherever the possibilities take me…
