I create art for the joy and love of art.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Metal art is my favorite to create because it combines raw strength with creativity in a way no other medium can. Taking cold, rigid steel and shaping it through heat, force, and precision into something expressive and meaningful feels incredibly rewarding. Every cut, weld, and grind leaves a permanent mark, making each piece unique and full of character. I enjoy the challenge of working with such a tough material and transforming it into art that can be both functional and visually striking.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration for my metal art in the world around me and in the work I do every day. The raw environments of fabrication shops, the sparks from welding, and the shapes formed by machinery all influence my ideas. I’m also inspired by nature—animals, landscapes, and organic forms—which I enjoy translating into strong, durable metal designs.
What would you do with $25,000?I would put the money back into my shop to continue to create beautiful art.
