Hello, my name is The Chump, I create things because a lot of what I see nowadays I don’t really care for. This is what I think Art is. . .
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I try and create art that will make people laugh or feel a bit uncomfortable. If you were to give my style of painting a name, I’d call it “Slapdash Art.” I’ve never taken any art classes, so I don’t know much about the different styles, but I like colorful/abstract/psychedelic forms of art.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the things I see. Whether it be from a band I saw, an interesting pose from a human lady or a smudge I see on a wall. I used to work in a dirty ass warehouse. I would walk around staring at the ground. If I came across an unusual shape, I’d take a picture and try to turn it into a painting. There’s inspiration everywhere. Keep your eyeballs open.
What would you do with $25,000?I would buy a newer used car because mines about to take a shite on me, then I’d save the rest for my daughter, Luna. Probably celebrate with a bottle of Crown and a pack of Camel Royals. Then continue painting.
