I’ve always had a passion for storytelling. Over the past year, I’ve felt a calling to create a children’s book to honor my son’s diagnosis.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is art that transforms difficult experiences into something magical. Emotionally immersive storytelling. Writing Greyson and the Power Line showed me that storytelling can give children courage, help families feel understood, and turn fear into imagination. That’s the kind of art I want to keep creating.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration lives in the footsteps of my children. Behind the eyes of their imagination. Through their experiences, emotions, and moments that become core memories.
What would you do with $25,000?With the $25,000, I would continue investing in future creative projects that bring meaningful stories to life. I would also use it to help ensure my son remains comfortable and supported throughout his medical journey, while making sure my daughter feels equally seen, loved, and cared for as we navigate this experience together as a family.
