Hello! I am a watercolor artist with a passion for creating vintage inspired floral paintings. I feel my art captures the beauty of the past
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love to create watercolor floral pieces that capture the essence of the flowers, their colors, shapes, natural tears, and make it feel like a vintage painting that has been hanging in a home for hundreds of years. I want my art to feel like a timeless heirloom. The beauty of the way watercolor blooms is unpredictable and can never be recreated. The “accidents” are what makes each watercolor painting unique and its own.
Where do you find inspiration?I find my inspiration through strolling the streets of Charleston and finding homes tucked away in the flowers. I love capturing the essence of florals I find in nature. I also get my inspiration through simple things in my daily life. Such as a color palette from an antique chair I love the fabric or pattern on. Inspiration can be everywhere!
What would you do with $25,000?If I were to win this competition, I would utilize the money to further my art career and rent a space to feature my art in a gallery. I would also spoil my family and friends that support me everyday!
