Art transports you into another realm & plays off the experience of the individual. I love to create because I can express & expand myself.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!

Receive Text UpdatesI love to create large interactive art. To me, that means not just displaying art in the form of paintings but creating an immersive installation of materials that provokes honesty and curiosity in the viewer. Paintings can and do go beyond a frame, they expand out of the two-dimensional field and through sewing, fabric, wire or other materials they can become playful iterations of the mind. I love to create work that hints at philosophical questions while obtaining a playful approach to color.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the everyday. I find inspiration when I’m contemplating the metaphysical, spiritual and unconscious. The everyday I refer to is the doors we pass through, the portals we travel into, the stairs we go up and time that passes us by. We are all involved in the execution of humanity and whether we agree or disagree we are here to live. Life isn’t easy, but it can be enjoyable even in the depths of pursuit and failure. We prevail, and through art we connect.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000 I would obviously splurge on yards of canvas, Golden Acrylics and updating my studio space. Even though art materials aren’t cheap, they wouldn’t cost nearly that much. And as much as I would like to save money for the never ending bills I pay to my car mechanic- my real dream is to give others the opportunity to create. I live in the city of Fitchburg MA that was tremendously impacted by the financial crisis of 2009. I would help restore and repair the community arts scene.
